Bangladesh has revealed a strong fifteen-man squad for the second Test of their current series against Sri Lanka, which is a noteworthy move.
The team will still be led by Najmul Hossain Shanto, but all-rounder Shakib Al Hasan, who has been out of action for a year, is back.
Towhid Hridoy, a talented batter, is replaced in the team by the renowned all-rounder who bowls spin. With the exception of a few games in the Dhaka Premier Division League, Shakib was limited to playing in the BPL after complaining of eye pain two months prior.
Due to an injury, Pacer Musfik Hasan will not play in this game. Hasan Mahmud will take his place in the squad.
Along with Shanto, the Tigers’ batting lineup will be led by Zakir Hasan, Mahmudul Hasan Joy, Litton Das, and Mominul Haque. Shakib Al Hasan, Mehidy Hasan Miraz, and Taijul Islam will lead the spin attack.
Along with Hasan Mahmud and Nahid Rana, left-arm bowler Shoriful Islam, who impressed in the ODI leg, will spearhead the home team’s pace attack.
