At the slips, Jayasuriya was dropped several times.
The second Test of the two-game Test series between Sri Lanka and Bangladesh is well underway. The tourists have continued to crush Bangladesh at the Zahur Ahmed Chowdhury Stadium in Chattogram after winning the first Test handily.
One of the most exciting moments of the second Test day occurred on the sixth ball of the 121st over in the first innings. Prabath Jayasuriya was bowled by Khaled Ahmed, and the batter got a thick edge as he tried to drive the ball.
Funny thing happened when the ball went to the first slip and the fielder lost the catch, juggling it to the second slip who botched it again, and then to the third slip, where the fielder again failed to grab it and the ball crashed to the ground. The identical video has been going viral on social media.
Sri Lanka scores 531 runs in the opening session.
Following their resounding victory in the opening Test, Sri Lanka produced another outstanding performance in the second match. In the second Test, the visitors batted first and were led by Nishan Madushka and Dimuth Karunaratne, who scored 57 and 86 runs in the opening innings, respectively. Additionally, Kusal Mendis scored 93 runs in 150 deliveries, while Dhananjaya de Silva and Dinesh Chandimal scored 70 and 59 runs, respectively. Sri Lanka amassed 531 runs in the first innings, but Kamindu Mendis remained undefeated with 92 runs.
Shakib Al Hasan, who claimed three wickets, was Bangladesh’s top wicket-taker. Along with Khaled Ahmed and Mehidy Hasan Miraz taking a wicket apiece, Hasan Mahmud claimed two wickets.
The hosts will hope to perform better than in the first Test and will try to minimize their deficit as much as possible if Bangladesh wants to level the series.
